A true definition of a individual?

I know my question is kind of whack. But, I was wondering have you ever met someone was a individual. What was it that made them an individual? I have met a friend of mines who loves what she loves and she does what she loves no matter what people say. Would you consider that as being an individual? I don't really understand the definition of an individual so I just wanted to understand this more in a deeper aspect.A true definition of a individual?
a green mohawkA true definition of a individual?
The TRUE definition of an individual has nothing to do with personality. It means one living thing in a group of living things. Thats it.

If you're talking about it in a more social aspect, which you clearly are, its not something that has a certain definition. I used to be into punk and had a huge mohawk and was part of the culture. There are plenty of conformists there just like the abercrombie crowd.

In my opinion, which in this subject is the only thing you can have, an individual doesn't base their personalities, beliefs, mode of dress etc,... on other people just to fit it. They do it because they really like it, not because they need people to relate to and to conform near. Not everyone shows individuality through standard ways.

People who tend to be more individualistic are outcasts from not just your ';average'; society members, but also from the various sub and counter cultures because they refuse to conform into their ideals.
In today's society, one is faced w/ many challenges where more often than not, he/she is pressured into conforming to society's standards.

Those who are strong and have a great understanding of who they are and what they stand for are those who rise above conformity; hence, being labeled as an individual.

Some of these so called '; individuals'; are so in to what they believe in, that they cause a lot of friction where ever they go.

In my opinion, an individual who is independent enough not to conform to society but also doesn't judge others and impose upon others his/her beliefs is one who will be more successful in life than any other individuals out there.

Human's capacity to adapt to his/her environment is the key factor to survival. Are U a strong ';individual';?
Being out of step makes you out of step, not necessarily different as a person. What makes us unique is how we express the one unchanging thing we all have in common, personality.

V. PERSONALITY REALITIES - P.8

P.8 - 搂1 Personality is a level of deified reality and ranges from the mortal and midwayer level of the higher mind activation of worship and wisdom up through the morontial (next life) and spiritual to the attainment of finality of personality status. That is the evolutionary ascent of mortal- and kindred-creature personality, but there are numerous other orders of universe personalities.
A liberated mind. One that is not shackled by humanity's whims. One that is of its own desires and inner most wishes. Not one shaped by the milieu they are in-closed in.Sadly children are more of individuals than adults. They have a much more carefree thought process and freedom to be themselves and think and be as they please. And as and individual you may choose to think of my answer as bullsh!t or you may find truth to it.
A human being is an individual social being. In other words you are a social individual. There are many individuals in society and you are one of them. You are individual activity amongst many individual activities. An individual is a specific level and qualitatively original form of being. Your specific level is as a social being and your qualitative originality is your individual form of being.
individualy chosing that answer for youself
