Am posting this in two different categories - single and dating and marriage and divorce, just to see if people's answers change over time.
What do you think true love is? Do you believe in it? Is it what the movies show it as? Is it something specifically else, and if so - what?What is your definition of true love?
personally, i think the movies don't always portray it accurately. As much as we'd all like, sometimes, despite how much you love each other, certain circumstances/situations prevent the ';story'; from ending ';happily ever after';
my definition of true love is loving someone with all of your heart...unconditional love... loving them with their strengths AND weaknesses. Your true love is someone that not only supports you when you're down, but also helps you grow and become a better person and that means being honest to each other even when the truth hurts. Loving them even when you've both aged and beauty fades. Compromising and sacrificing in order to make each other happy (which often involve swallowing your pride and being unselfish).What is your definition of true love?

I believe it is out there - and I think the movies make it look too easy
