Time means for me duration between the beginning and the end of something. So long it takes. The period.
entropy is usually the most common answer given. entropy is the measure of disorder since the big bang, time is merely a measure of that increasing disorder. The big bang was one (simple) system. Once the system became more complex entropy increased throughout the universe as well as time. one is the measurement of the other.
