A true Democracy means that every one votes on everything. This is totally impractical if you have more than about 10 people in your society. That's why we, in the U.S. have a republic where we elect people to represent us instead of voting directly for everything. Can someone out there expalin waht is the true definition of a democarcy?
I would say that a true democracy is a government that allows the voice of the people to make civic and political decisions. A government for the people and by the people. I don't think that this particular definition surprises me at all. In the relative scheme of global politics I think that America comes closest to that ideal than any other country. Does it nail it on the head? No, not really. But very close.
A government elected by the people. But elections are usuall bought and paid for by the rich
Is this a test?
