is it a belief in one almighty god with a bunch of different forms?
is it just a bunch of different gods?
what is it exactly? What is the true definition of God in Hinduism?
Hinduism encompasses a broad spectrum of beliefs, so there is no one answer to your question. At the top of the hierarchy is Brahman (not to be confused with Brahma), which is the indescribable ultimate reality. Next there is the trinity of Brahma, the creator, Vishnu, the preserver, and and Krishna, the destroyer, each of which is worshiped as the supreme being by some Hindu sects. Some Hindus accord Shakti, the feminine principal, this honor.
My impression of Hinduism (I am not Hindu, so this is not authoritative) is that it is a vast compendium of philosophical and mythological concepts, out of which a wide variety of religious traditions have been fashioned. What is the true definition of God in Hinduism?
The true definition of God in Hinduism is in the word GOD itself G=Generator(Brahma) + Operator(Vishnu) + D=Destroyer(Maheshwara) leads to GOD(the almighty i.e. Parambrhma)

God is every where , In all living and non living things. All deities are just the manifestation of same one unique supreme source.
Following one religion means following one path to achieve that final goal.In the same way , follow one particular deity means concentrating that supreme almighty through one particular image.
There is a trinity of sorts in Hinduism: Brahma is the creator god; Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer. There are multiple other gods, but many Hindus are henotheistic. This means that they actually only choose one god/goddess to worship, while recognizing there are many others.
Here is a list of Hindu deities:

If you knew anything about Hinduism you would not be asking such an empty question. The Hindu believe there are 3.5 million gods, each dead, each to serve a specific niche in their miserable life. The one thing Hindu fear the most is death, not death itself but what they believes follows---reincarnation. Most Indians are so poor the very thought of coming back to their same miserable life frightens them to no end. I asked one one day which of their gods would determine if this life was the end for them, they had reached a point of goodness. They had never considered the question, they just live from day to day in dread.
But if you really want to know what the true definition of god in Hinduism is here it is: dead and indifferent symbolism attempting to make that which was real at one time or not(objects or animals) be something they could never be reacting in ways that would be contrary to nature and reality.
Rocky I'm not a Hindu but you're a dick and I want to stab you and watch you pray for heaven when you know you're not going there.
