What is the true definition of love?

I have been in a few relaionships and the relationships i been in didnt work. Guys been in and out of my life telling me how much they love me but at the end of the day they hurt me. Now those same 1nce want me back in their life. If you truly love some1 then you don't hurt that person. So people that have been in a long term relationship please tell me what is your true definition of loving somebody.What is the true definition of love?
Love is admiration for someone else who is categorically alike to you enough that specific differences that are nonessential don't matter.


Without admiration it's just good healthy lust but a physical relationship can't go anywhere.


The context is as follows: one of two people wanting an exclusionary union for the purpose of sex or not; and it is just that--admiration plus mutual benefits from being together rather than with anyone else keeping the two together.





Lose any part of that--and of course the desire may then be to find someone else with whom one will be happier.
